Who are we?
Three experienced translators. Fascinated by languages and technology. The perfect combination.
Our translation agency was founded in late 2000 by two extremely experienced technical translators under the name “Käännös- ja ohjelmistotalo STAR-J&M Finnland Oy”. The company’s name “STAR” comes from our Swiss parent company and the initials “J&M” from the two translators who were our original founders.
Today we have three in-house translators and we draw on reliable freelancers where necessary. With more than twenty years of experience, we translate technology and marketing texts from German, English and French into Finnish. For other language combinations, we can call on our sister companies in the STAR group around the world.
As we see it, the most important thing as translators is our relationship with our clients. The text must read fluently. The terminology must be right. And we deliver within the deadline we have agreed with you. The software developed by STAR, which we represent in Finland, is an excellent tool that we use every day.
